It took nearly thirty-six years for me to embrace photography. Prior to that, I was a camera for hire, working on both video and still projects for businesses and nonprofits. Based in New England, my work took me around the world and back again: documenting food programs in Panama, health clinics in Haiti, and myriad stories in my home region of Connecticut. Throughout this time, I gravitated toward authentic storytelling, often combining both photography and video to deepen the narrative. I’ve photographed and filmed musicians, poets, CEOs, unhoused people, farmers, athletes, entrepreneurs—all for the purpose of capturing the essence of individuals at a specific moment in their lives.
